With warmer weather expected over the coming days, we would like to remind everyone to take extra care during the heat.
✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day
✅ Keep your home cool by closing curtains and blinds in sunny rooms
✅ Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm)
✅ Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and use sunscreen when outdoors
✅ Check regularly on elderly relatives, neighbours, young children, and those with long-term health conditions.
Signs of heat exhaustion can include headaches, dizziness, excessive sweating, feeling sick, and tiredness. If symptoms worsen or do not improve, seek medical advice.
Please ensure any medicines are stored according to the instructions on their packaging and keep hydrated if taking medications that may be affected by hot weather.
Stay safe, keep cool, and look after one another.
