All Services
Health Screening
The surgery will send you an invitation for your Health Screening when you are due/eligible. These appointments will be with a member of the nursing team. The nursing team will check your blood pressure, cholesterol and urine and give diet, exercise and smoking advice during one of these appointments.
Hearing Aids Batteries
The surgery holds a supply of hearing aid batteries. Please contact the Dispensary if you require replacement batteries.
Immunisations
These are done by appointment with a member of the nursing team.
Long Term Condition Clinics
We offer various nurse-led clinics for long term conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma & COPD. All clinics are appointment based and will made with the appropriate member of the nursing team.
Minor Surgery and Cryotherapy
The Doctor and our Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Emma Arnold, can carry out certain minor operations and this will often avoid the need for a hospital attendance. Please make an appointment to see your Doctor or Emma in the first instance.
Non-NHS Examinations, Letters and Certificates
The Doctors are able to complete private medical insurance claim forms and private certificates and to carry out medical examinations for insurance, driving, employment and sport. These do not form part of their NHS work and therefore a fee is payable.
Phlebotomy (Blood Test) Clinics
The surgery holds phlebotomy clinics (blood taking) on all sites. Please note that different types of blood tests are taken at certain times.
Women’s Health Clinics
These are run by specially trained and qualified nurses and a full range of services is available for contraception advice, cervical screening (smears) and other routine health checks. We feel it is important for all women between the ages of 25 and 64 to have regular cervical screening.
Those who require urgent advice about emergency contraception should contact either the Practice Nurse or the Doctor.
Separate Clinics are run for HRT.
